Thrilled to be invited to play alongside one of Detroit techno’s most forward thinking & exciting live-acts/producers, Uun! Be prepared for a night of riveting, dark and electrifying techno at the Techno Snobs warehouse in downtown Phoenix. Come early and stay late – Disco Zombie is bringing his own Detroit flavor in the opening slot starting at 10pm, and I’ll be on the decks from 2-4am.

Check out the high res flyer here.

Uun has taken the scene by storm since 2012 with releases on mainstay labels such as Dynamic Reflection, Mord, Modularz, and Soma – not to mention his own personal project label “Ego Death” among others. His productions embody the perfect blend of evil yet energetic electronic dance music. His live sets are a simply mind bending extension of his production talents – always engaging, morphing and twisting through corridors of intelligent percussion sequences. Unlike the typically linear feel of a traditional DJ set, Uun’s live performance takes the less travelled, unpredictable route of continuously evolving sound. He has honed this performance around the world at musical meccas such as Khidi, Gegen, Griessmuehle, and Tresor. Expect a sensory-barrage powered techno workout and a night to remember with this exceptional artist at the wheel.

Check out one of my favorite live sets from Uun on SoundCloud here. Check his label out on Bandcamp and his catalog on Discogs. His music is also available on Spotify and Beatport, and you can connect on social media using Facebook and Instagram.

See you on the dancefloor!

Crests & Troughs

Excited to be back in the warehouse alongside some familiar faces and talented artists. I’ll be playing a bit of industrial and EBM flavored techno for this party.

Crests & Troughs is a new take on the famed Peaks & Valleys music promotion group, it was created as a seperate outlet for expressing the darker and more obscure shades of electronic music.

Belief Defect Pre-Party

We’ve all been waiting a long time for this announcement, and that day is finally here: Der Bunker has returned. Additionally, I’ve been invited to start the year off alongside Tristan/Iseult and Joe Bear at Der Bunker’s Belief Defect pre-party.

If you’ve been around the Phoenix techno scene for more than a few years, then the Bunker crew needs no introduction. If you’re unfamiliar with the name, Der Bunker was one of the first local groups to take techno seriously throughout the past decade. Beyond that, they’ve been doing the damn thing for longer than most of us have even been familiar with the genre. It’s a massive honor to be asked to perform with a group of individuals that I more or less idolize, and I cannot wait to see what the year may have in store.

We’ll be doing this party at the Lunchbox in Phoenix – The venue has quite an underground dive bar feel, but with a very impressive and well tuned sound system built by the Der Bunker boss himself. Playing on good sound is a very elusive experience here in the valley, one that I have been chasing since I started taking music seriously.

Information for the Pre-Party can be found here:

Since this is a prelude to the big show, it’s only right that I plug that event as well. Bunker is bringing Belief Defect (Drumcell + Luis Flores) out to the desert for their first Arizona performance. The duo is widely regarded as one of the most ground breaking live-techno acts currently performing, and the hype is very well deserved. Needless to say, I’m humbled to prime Phoenix heads for their appearance here in the valley with this pre-party! Information for the Belief Defect party itself can be found here:

D.Dan @ Scarlet Room

My good friends over at the Techno Snobs have invited me to open their first residency night over at the Scarlet Room in Downtown Phoenix. Starting on December 20th, they will be hosting techno once a week on the massive Turbosound stacks upstairs above the famous Monarch Theater.

This venue should be a great fit for their vibe; low ceilings, proper point-source PA, and a nice intimate setting. For the first event, they’ll be bringing techno talent D.Dan from Berlin. D.Dan is one of the first DJs I’ve felt “compatible” with in terms of intensity, pace, and style of mixing – so I am very excited to see him perform.

I’ll be starting the night off with my signature extra-terrestrial blend of ambient and techno, going from 930pm-11pm. Tickets are available now via Resident Advisor here:

Melt v2.9 – Gigantor (Evol Intent)

The boys over at the Melt crew have formally invited me to jump on board as part of the team, and as my first resident booking I will be closing out a warehouse with Gigantor (remember Evol Intent?)! I’ve traditionally been wary of jumping in with a crew for various reasons, but everyone involved seems to have a burning passion and good balance between party and professional. As a bonus, every DJ in the group is very experienced and skilled. This is a great environment to exist in from an artistic standpoint – there is nothing more beneficial than having people around you pushing you to improve.

Evol Intent was one of the most influential musical forces that I discovered as a teenager when first getting familiar with electronic music. Not only being able to see one of the founding members in 2019, but also being a part of the party (AND throwing it in a WAREHOUSE) is a massive massive massive move for me personally. I could not be more excited for this event.

We’ve all been working hard to make sure this one is a big success, from promotion, to performance, to production. All angles have been covered and we are ecstatic to make this happen for Phoenix. We’ve had a large void when it comes to drum and bass in warehouses, so this will definitely be a step in the right direction again for phoenix.

Tickets are available for $10 via bandcamp, grab a presale now and save some money at the door:
